The municipality of Jordão, in Acre, has just suffered the worst flooding in history, with heavy rains submerging entire neighborhoods in the city and affecting indigenous villages in the region.

Over the last five years, we have been monitoring the effects of the floods on the Jordão River, helping the riverside population and the indigenous peoples who live there. We have seen that this is the worst flooding in history! At the moment, we are asking for URGENT support to send water and food, medicines and hygiene items, as many families have lost everything!

Jordão is one of the most isolated municipalities in Brazil. Any help is be very welcome. We call on everyone to join in this chain of support!The Campo Sagrado Institute has a team of social workers under the supervision of Dr. César, a doctor at the Jordão Health Post, all of whom are on hand to evaluate and distribute the funds raised. APOTI concentrates on coordinating deliveries to the affected villages, while the Campo Sagrado Institute promotes support in the municipality.
